UML Cadre Attacked by YCL Incharge
UML cadre Mahendra BK has been injured in an attack by Nawaraj Ghalan, Kalika Municipality in-charge of YCL, a sister organization of the CPN-Maoist.
BK, 34, a resident of Padampur, Shanti Tole, Kalika Municipality-3, was attacked by YCL Kalika’s in-charge Ghalan at 11 pm on the May 4, 2022.
According to the locals, a group of 15 to 16 people had attacked him on the head with a bottle, lead and glasses.
DSP Narahari Adhikari of the District Police Office said that BK was beaten but there was no evidence as to whether the cause was political or non-political.
DSP Adhikari said that a written complaint has not been received even though the relatives informed the police on behalf of the victim. The accused have not been arrested yet.
BK is also a member of the UML’s sister organization and is undergoing treatment at the medical college in Bharatpur, said CPN-UML Kalika Secretary Shudarshan Adhikari. BK has a serious head injury.
