Two Years of Imprisonment to the Convict of Rape
District Court of Nuwakot rendered a verdict imposing two years of imprisonment to Rishi Bahadur Baskota, 68, of Belkot Gadi Municipality-4, on 14 February, in the charge of rape of a 13-year-old girls.
Bench of District Judge Madan Bahadur Dhami convicted Baskota imposing two years of imprisonment, Rs. 20,000 compensation and ordered him to deposit Rs. 25,000 to the victims relief fund.
A complaint had been filed at the District Police Office against the accused on 9 December, in the allegation of rape of the victim on 14 December, 2020.
Medical examination of the victim was conducted at Trishuli Hospital, on 14 December.
Accused was remanded to judicial custody on 31 December, 2020.
