Two Polling Station Lacks Building and 21 Found to be Highly Sensitive

Out of 126 polling stations in the district, two polling stations are without buildings.

Two polling stations in the corner of Tundikhel of Amargadhi Municipality-4 and Parashuram Municipality-6 are without buildings.

Chief District Officer Mohan Raj Joshi said that the election was being held in the open space as there was no building at the polling station and this might create a problem to the voters as well.

Joshi further added that Nepal Police, Temporary Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army have been mobilized in all the areas of the district by classifying the various polling stations in the district to strengthen the security arrangements for the election.

Out of 80 polling stations and 126 polling centres, 21 are highly sensitive, states the district security committee.

Out of 80 polling stations, 40 polling stations are sensitive and 19 polling stations are normal.

There are 84,871 voters in this district and there are 41,906 male and 42,965 female.

According to Karunakar Awasthi, Chief of the District Election Office, 699 staff and 378 volunteers have been deployed for the election and 999 staff have been deployed in the election.
