Two Policemen Injured During Clash
Two policemen were injured when locals threw stones at them while they were trying to control the situation during a dispute between residents in Syarpu, Banfikot Rural Municipality-3 on January 28, 2024 .
Inspector Dharmendra Khadka of District Police Office Rukum West informed that 25-year-old Police Constable Mahendra Bahadur Shahi and 27-year-old Himraj Khadka were among the injured.
Inspector Khadka said that 28-year-old Lakshman BK of Banfikot Rural Municipality-4, 22-year-old Janak Khanal of the same place, 22-year-old Kailash Puri and a 15-year-old boy of Banfikot-6 were arrested on the charge of pelting stones.
Officer sustained injuries to his back, and Khadka suffered a head injury from the thrown stones. Both injured were initially taken to the district hospital on January 28 and later transferred to Kohalpur Medical College for further treatment.
Inspector Khadka said that the incident is being further investigated.
