Two persons arrested in connection of raping a minor
A nine – year – old girl was gang raped at the Lohana area of Janakpur Sub Metropolis – 17. The police have arrested Sahadev Mandal, 61, and Challitar Mandal, 45, of ward no 17 in connection with the case according to RSS.
The two raped the girl repeatedly when he was home alone, according to District Police Office, Dhanusha. The girl has been living with two junior sisters and mother. Her father is a migrant worker and mother a manual labourer.
The two had been alluring the girl by giving her chocolates. They had warned her that she would be killed if she shared her ordeal with others. The incident came to light when a girl from the neighbourhood told the victim’s mother of the rape.
Dhanusha’s Superintendent of Police (SP) Lalmani Acharya said the victim’s mother had filed the case of rape and sought action against the rapist 14 days after the incident. The police have arrested the two and launched further investigation.
