Two people Injured in a clash between Police and Locals in Ridi Bazzar
At least one local and policeman were injured in a clash in Ridi area of Gulmi over the dispute of dividing area number five. The locals came out into agitation demanding against dividing area number five of Ridi. The locals also demanded for making that area into one by keeping its center in Ridi.
In a clash, inspector Keshav Raj Bhattarai, 27 of Ridi Area Police Office and a local Deepak Kandel, 25 of Ruru-6 were injured. Both the injured were taken for treatment at Ruru primary health center. Inspector Bhattarai sustained hand injury and Kandel sustained a head injury.
Inspector Bhattarai said that the clash started after police forcefully attempted to open Ridi post. The agitators hurled stones from everywhere and police fired six cells of teargas to control the mob.
CDO Udaya Bahadur Rana Magar said that DSP Mahendra Nepal with team of police was sent to the area. The locals of Ridi are not happy with a decision to keep center at Ghiubeshi. In Ridi area there are six VDCs.
