Two Months Imprisonment for Sexual Abuse of Minor
The Lamjung District Court has sentenced Poorna Bahadur Thapa,45, a resident of Rainas Nagarpalip-9, to two months imprisonment for the crime of sexual abuse of a 17-year-old girl.
The bench of Justice Shiv Prasad Khanal on May 31, 2023, imposed a fine of Rs, 10,000 rupees along with imprisonment, and Rs.35,000 with Rs, 400 rupees to be deposited in the victim’s relief fund.
On November 16, 2022, the aggrieved party filed a complaint at the District Police Office saying that the accused had sexually abused the victim, on November 13.
Based on the victim’s complaint, the police arrested the accused on the same day.
The health examination of the victim girl was done at Lamjung Hospital Lamjung on November 16, 2023.
