Two Juveniles Sentenced to Six Months Imprisonment for Statutory Rape
The District Court sentenced two 10-year-old juvenile to six months imprisonment each for raping a seven-year-old minor.
Registrar Damodar Ghimire of the District Court informed INSEC that the bench of Tejnarayan Paudel on May 31 sentenced them to six months imprisonment along with compensation of Rs 50,000 each.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint at the Area Police office, Gadhawa on January 18 alleging that the victim had been raped by the juveniles on January 17.
The juveniles were arrested on the same day. The health examination of the victim was done on January 18 at Rapti Academy of Health Science, Ghorahi.
