Two Juveniles Escape from Child Reform Home
Two juveniles escaped from the Child Reform Home, in Naubasta Regional Jail, Baijnath Rural Municipality-3 on November 27. Twelve juveniles attempted to flee during an evening transfer between blocks at the Child Reform Home. Ten were arrested near the facility, while 19-year-old Dinesh Budha and 20-year-old Suraj Gurung remain absconding, according to Shyam Rana, Chief of the Child Reform Home.
The Child Reform Home previously housed 116 juveniles. With two juveniles escaping, it now accommodates 114, according to officials. Similarly, on November 11, 2024, three juveniles had escaped from the reform home.
The Child Reform Home has deployed 55 security personnel, including 30 from the Armed Police Force and 25 from Nepal Police. However, juveniles continue to clash and escape. Superintendent of Police Tul Bahadur Karki stated that the police are searching for the escaped juveniles.
