Two Individuals Accused Police Of Beating During Traffic Check

26-years-old Rajesh Mandal and 22-years-old Bibek Mandal of Inaruwa Municipality-8 alleged that they were beaten by Police Officers in Inaruwa Municipality-3 Sakhuwagachi on January 6 while returning back home after receiving treatment from BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan.

Ganesh Yadav, an eyewitness of the reported said that Nepal Police was beating two individuals during a traffic check  in Inaruwa Municipality-3, Sakhuwagachi.

The victims complained that they were asked for Rs. 1000 even after providing the driver’s license and blue book. And when they refused to pay the amount they were beaten by the officers. They added that they do not know about the name and the post of the officers who assaulted them.

SP Bipin Regmi of the District Police Office said that investigation about the incident  is going on and action will be taken soon once the guilty is found.

The treatment of the injured Rajesh Mandal was done at theDistrict Hospital, Inaruwa.

The Police reported that Rajesh Mandal works as a Computer Operator at the Ward Office of Inaruwa Municipality-8.
