Twelve Years Imprisonment for Rape Crime
The District Court has sentenced Anish Basnet, 19, of Laliguras Municipality-3 Musangkhel to 12 years imprisonment for the crime of rape of a 16-year-old girl.
According to Court Registrar, Judge Parasmani Pokharel, the District Court Judge, Pramesh Pokharel, imposed a fine of Rs, 4,00,000.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint against the accused in the district police office on May 24, 2022, alleging that the accused had raped the victim girl on May 24, 2022.
Based on the complaint of the victim, the police arrested the accused from his home on May 25, and a case was registered in the district court on June 13 through the public prosecutor’s office.
According to the order of District Court Judge Mahendra Prasad Pokharele on June 13, the accused was remanded to judicial custody.
The health examination of the victim girl was done at the district hospital on May 24, 2022.
