Torture in police custody, Complaint Lodged at DAO
The police administration has tortured five people inside the police custody after taking them in control on a dispute with a driver.
The victims Nirmal Nepal, 23 of Benighat ROrang, 33 years old Surya Chepang, 45 years old Krishna Gurung, 17 years old Santosh Yadav and 17 years old Ankit Tamang had lodged a complaint at District Administration Office against the police on June 1 for the justice.
The police had arrested five people on the night of May 31st charge of beating a bus driver after he denied paying Rs 2000 for his food.
The victims accused police of beating and torturing them by using bamboo stick. Victims have lodged a complaint demanding the action against the policemen led by ASI Raju Paudel of Jogimara Police Post. However,police denied of torture but accepted that they had used a normal baton while controlling them.
After the incident ASI Paudel has been summoned to District Police Office according to DSP Deependra Aryal of Dhading.
