Three Years Imprisonment on Crime of Rape
The District Court has sentenced 42-year-old Bhesh Bahadur Roka Magar of Panini Rural Municipality-1 to three years in prison on September 26 for the crime of rape a 15-year-old girl.
Nasu Ramprasad Acharya of the District Court, according to the decision of single bench of District Judge Shri Krishna Jung Shah ,a three-year prison sentence, a fine of 30,000 rupees, and compensation of 200,000 rupees to the victim was imposed.
The victim had filed a complaint at the District Police Office on July 5, 2021, alleging that the accused had raped her on July 4, 2021.
The police registered a case against the accused in the district court on July 5, and he was in custody for pre-trial detention as per the order of the District Court issued on August 16, 2021.
