Three Members of Same Family Fatally Buried in Landslide
Three girls of the same family died due to the landslide in Gokulganga Rural Municipality-6, Pharpu on 25 July.
Local Nawaraj Sunuwar reported that the landslide in the evening of 25 July collapsed the house of Biman Tamang, fatally burying his 18-year-old daughter Sita Tamang, along with his granddaughters, 15-year-old Lakshmi and 13-year-old Aasika. The incident occurred around 7:30 PM when a chunk of land debris fell onto the house. Additionally, locals recovered the bodies later the same night.
A rescue team led by DSP Pradip Kumar Singh of the District Police Office, Ramechhap was dispatched to the site as soon as the incident came to light. Similarly, Police Inspector Kaushal Neupane of the District Police Office, Ramechhap reported that a team from the Betali Police Station also reached the scene for rescue.
