Three and Half Years’ Imprisonment for Rape Attempt
Prakash Pun Magar (27) of Sanibheri Rural Municipality-6 was sentenced with three and half years’ jail term and fined Rs 10 thousand for attempting to rape a 55-year-old woman. This decision was made in the bench of Justice Bidhya Raj Poudel on 5 February 2020.
Complaint was filed against Pun on 26 September 2018 at the District Police Office, Rukum West, accusing him of trying to rape her on 3 September 2018. The victim’s health checkup was conducted on 26 September 2018. Pun was sent for judicial custody on 9 October 2018.
