Three And A Half Year Imprisonment for Attempt To Rape
The District Court Sentenced Ravin B.K,32, Baglung Municipality-7 to three years and 6 months of imprisonment on the charge of attempting to rape a 37-year-old woman.
Gangadhar Sapkota, Chief bench officer of District Court Baglung informed that the bench of Judge Diwakar Bhatt, on June 6, 2023, ordered a fine of Rs. 150,000, and compensation of Rs. 20,000 along with imprisonment.
The victim filed a complaint at the District Police Office, Baglung on December 26, 2022, alleging that the accused attempted rape on the victim on December 25, 2022.
Police arrested the accused on December 26, 2022. B.K. was detained in District Jail Baglung for investigation on December 30, 2022.
The health examination of the victim woman was done on December 26, 2022, at Dhaulagiri Hospital, Baglung.
