Ten Years Imprisonment For Rape
The district court sentenced Dhaniram Khajuwar, Kawasoti Municipality-10 Rataul, to seven years imprisonment for the crime of rape of a 22-year-old woman.
District Court Deputy Subba Santosh Sigdel informed that Judge Yagya Prasad Acharya’s court on June 15 declared Khajuwar guilty of rape and sentenced Khajuwar to seven years in prison and Rs 50,000 compensation to the victim.
The victim filed a complaint at the District Police Office, Nawalparasi East, on August 26, 2022, saying that Khajuwar raped the victim on August 15, 2022.
The health examination of the victim woman was conducted on August 26 at the district hospital.
