Ten Years Imprisonment For Rape of Minor
The District Court has sentenced Ajay Rai, 19, of Chaudandigarhi Municipality-6 Beltar to 10 years imprisonment for the crime of rape of a 16-year-old girl.
District Court Judge Navraj Dulal’s bench on May 31, 2023, found Rai guilty of the crime and imposed a fine of Rs. 500,000 and Rs. 20,000 compensation along with imprisonment.
The aggrieved party had filed a complaint, at the Local Office Office, Belatr, on December 30, 2022, alleging that the accused had raped the victim girl on August 1, 2022.
The police arrested the accused on December 30 and registered a case of rape at the District Court on January 23, 2023.
District Court Judge Navraj Dulal’s bench on January 24, 2023, remanded the accused to judicial custody pending trial.
The health examination of the victim was done at the district hospital on December 30, 2022.
