Suicide After Killing Wife
Police reported that 60-year-old Bam Bahadur Limbu committed suicide after killing his 45-year-old wife Gita Limbu of Belbari Municipality-1 Bhedatole.
DSP Ranjan Kumar Dahal of District Police Office said that Bam Bahadur, living in Belbari Municipality-1 Bhedatole, killed his wife with a sharp weapon during a family dispute on the morning of 20 March and after committed suicide by slitting his throat with the same weapon.
It is reported that Bam Bahadur even tried to kill his son after killing his wife. However the son escaped and survived.
Police informed that Bam Bahadur was taken to Nobel Medical College for treatment but the doctor declared him dead.
Locals said that the couple used to fight everyday. They had been living on rent at Nirmala Rai’s house in Belbari Municipality-1 Bhedatole for the past four years.
As per the police, the post mortem of the bodies will be conducted at the Koshi Hospital on March 20 after investigating the incident scene.
