The school administration of Chandrodaya Secondary School in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-5 Bishaltar has misbehaved more than 150 students for violating discipline.

Jenish Tripathi, studying in grade 9, said that the administration cut their hair indiscriminately even though they did not make any mistake. Tripathi has sustained eye injuries when his hair was cut forcibly. The eyes are swollen due to the injury. Some students have sustained head injuries too.

According to Prakash Bisural of the construction committee assigned to the school management, the students were asked by the school to fix their hair just to make them realize what discipline meant.

Tripathi had requested INSEC representative to make the news public by telephone on March 6, saying that 50 students were beaten and mistreated while their hair was also cut without reason.

Teacher Ramesh Regmi and headmaster Rameshwor Pokharel cut the hair of 150 students and beat 50 others, the victim said in a telephone interview.

School principal Rameshwor Pokharel said that the school had trimmed the hair of some students to maintain discipline but they were not abused. Pokharel has said that the allegations were false.
