Stress Given On Awareness Program Against Human Trafficking
Participants and concerned bodies in one program organized in Gulmi district stressed on operating awareness program in local level to control Human Trafficking.
The interaction program was organized on September 7 by Creative Community Development Center, Single Woman group for Human Rights, Women Human Rights organization and Nepal Human Rights Defender Network in coordination with Women and Children office and INSEC.
Speaking at the program, District judge Matrika Prasad Marasini said that awareness program is essential for the control of human trafficking. He added that most of the trafficking incident is motivated by financial matter, foreign employment and fake marriage.
The national day against human trafficking is organized nationwide with various programs.
The national day against trafficking is being observed since 2007 May 25.
Nepal government has already implemented the Act against trafficking.
