Staff Deployed in Polling Centres with Necessary Materials
Staff have been deployed at the designated polling stations after receiving the election materials required for the local level election to be held on May 13, 2022.
The staff have received the appointment letter from the office of the Chief Election Officer and had received necessary materials like the ballot box, ballot papers and other materials from the designated election offices.
The staff have to be delegated in 365 polling stations by May 10 and are in the rush of getting the ballot boxes, ballot papers and other materials.
According to the election schedule, the staff should have reached all the polling stations on May 10. The staff will have to prepare the physical infrastructure of the polling station as per the schedule, distribute voter ID cards, and conduct sample voting for voter education.
Employees arriving in remote villages of the district have reached the polling station after taking the ballot papers and ballot boxes. Many employees of accessible area will be deployed at their polling stations on May 10.
Chief of the Election Office of Bagmati Province, Lumbanath Adhikari, informed that work is underway to prepare and send the package of voting materials and voter identity cards received from the Election Commission.
He said that work is underway to deliver ballot papers, ballot boxes, voter identity cards and other election materials to the polling stations by May 10.
There are 294,919 voters in Makwanpur and 325,000 ballot papers have been received for the election, according to the District Election Office.
Chief Election Officer also informed that the staff of the 356 polling stations in the district have been trained on managing the polling booths.
