Socket Bomb Recovered from school premises
A socket bomb was recovered from the premises of Bageshwori Elementary School at Kharpunath Rural Municipality in Humla.
The bomb was recovered in the morning of July 3 while renovating the play ground of the school according to the principle Ganesh Bahadur Shahi of the school.
A team of police from Dojam Police Post led by SI Sintamoni Pokhrel reached the incident site for the investigation according to inspector Rajendra Bahadur Malla of District Police Office of Humla.
The socket bomb was confirmed by the police and was sent to the Nepal army for disposal according to CDO Dholak Raj Dhakal of Humla.
The security in the area was tightened after the bomb was recovered. Inspector Singh said that the socket bomb can be from the conflict period. The school is three hours walk from the district headquarter of Simkot.
