Six months sentence on charge of abuse on Woman
The District Administration office of Dang has ordered to sentence 39 years old Rekha Gupta of Rapti Rural Municipality-1 and 29 years old Anita Gupta for six years on charge of abusing and beating Dil maya Pun of Sitganga Municipality-9, Arghakhanchi in a public place. The court has also ordered for the penalty of Rs 25,000 from each of them.
Chief Distrct Officer Gajendra Bahadur Shrestha decided to sentence them for six months along with the penalty after finding them guilty.
The convict duo had abused and beaten the victim in a public place on June 8 on charge of not selling a piece of land for Rs 50,000. The victim was beaten in a public place after making her half naked.
The victim in June 10 had lodged complaint at Area Police Office and on a same day duo accused were arrested for investigation. They were kept in custody for 18 days for the investigation.
