Sit-in-protest in front of District Administration Office demanding the right to vote
Four hundred voters at Mandhara polling centre of Kharpu Nath Village council-5 have staged sit-in-protest in front of district election and administration office on May 15 demanding their right to vote.
In this polling centre, the voters were threatened by the cadres of Nepali congress for not to vote to other parties in local level election. There was even a clash in this polling centre regarding this issue according to independent ward chairman candidate Prakash Bahadur Shahi.
The locals are demanding to re-poll in this polling centre in presence of chief election officer and CDO otherwise; the cadres of Nepali Congress might attack them according to candidate Prakash Bahadur Shahi.
The local voters have drawn the attention of CDO Dhana Prasad Sharma and chief election officer Khila Nath Regmi.
Four hundred voters have handed over ID cards in the office. The CDO Paudel said that the issue is under consideration.
