The operation of Majkhori Secondary School in Chhabispathibhera Rural Municipality-7 has been affected due to position of teachers remaining vacant for a long time. The absence of teachers for Mathematics and Science subjects has resulted in significant disruptions to the educational process at the school, according to the school’s principal, Basanta Bahadur Mandal. The principal, Mandal, added that students are facing problems due to the lack of teachers for Science and Mathematics in classes 9 and 10. Although the school has published advertisements for teacher appointments three times, they have received no applications. Niraj Mandal, a class 10 student, mentioned that he has not been able to study Mathematics and Science for the past six months due to the shortage of teachers. After the government made teaching permits mandatory, schools have struggled to find subject-specific teachers. Despite opening advertisements three times, it remains uncertain whether teachers will be hired. As a result, the school has now called for applications, allowing candidates without a teaching permit.

Bijay Dhami, the ward chairperson of Chhabispathibhera Rural Municipality-7, stated that despite coordinating with the municipality to publish advertisements due to a shortage of teachers affecting education, the issue has not been resolved. He mentioned that the Education Committee of the municipality has been urged to take necessary actions to address the shortage of teacher positions. Harichandra Kadayat, the coordinator of the Education Section at Chhabispathibhera Rural Municipality, explained that despite multiple advertisements for teacher positions, the required number of applications has not been received, preventing the resolution of the issue. Due to the lack of applications, the advertisements have been reissued, allowing candidates without a teaching permit to apply, and the Public Service Commission has also been informed about the need to fill the positions.
