Sexual Abuse Accused Arrested
Area Police Office of Dhalkewar has arrested Thana Prasad Bhattarai, 77, of Majhi Tole in Mithila Municipality-10 on July 22 on charges of sexually abusing girls of age seven, eight, and 10 years.
The victims have accused the elderly of sexually abusing them while they had gone to pick guavas in Bhattarai’s yard.
The incident became public after the victims went home crying and told their parents about their experience.
Inspector Pradip Subedi of Area Police Office Dhalkewar told INSEC that the victim had lodged a complaint against the accused at the Area Police Office Dhalkewar on July 22.
The three girls were examined at the Provincial Hospital, Janakpur on July 22.
