Seven Years of Imprisonment to the Perpetrator of the Rape of a Minor
Sarlahi District Court has sentenced Vijaya Kumar Danuwar, 32, of Hariwan Municipality-9, to seven years imprisonment in the conviction of rape of a 16-year-old girl.
The bench of Judge Kapilmani Gautam rendered the verdict with NPR. 50,000 compensation to the victim.
The underage victim filed a complaint at District Police Office, Manglawa, on October 23, 2022, against Danuwar on the charge of rape on September 30, 2020.
The medical examination of the victim girl was conducted on, October 22, 2020, at Sarlahi District Hospital, Malangwa. The registrar of the District Court informed that the accused was detained for trial at Sindhuli District Jail.
