Seven People Arrested for Protesting in Prohibited Area
Police arrested seven individuals for protesting in front of the parliament building, which is a protest prohibited area in Baneshwor. According to Inspector Lokendra Singh Guru of the Police Circle, Gaushala, those arrested include Bishnu Karki, Mohan Raut, and Yuvraj Thapa from Champadevi Rural Municipality-5 in Okhaldhunga, Bindaman Sarki from Narahari Nath Rural Municipality-9 in Kalikot, Bhograj Devkota from Birendranagar Municipality-4 in Surkhet; Kumar Ghatani from Pathari Shanishre-7 in Morang, currently residing in Garigaon, Kathmandu; and Sumita Budhathoki from Bhiman Municipality-9, currently living in Chabahil, Kathmandu. Inspector Guru stated that they were released after a short period.
SP Navraj Adhikari of the District Police Range, Kathmandu informed that they were arrested while demonstrating in front of Gate No. 3 of the Parliament Building on the day of Constitution Day, 19 September.
