Services disrupted as hospital lacks staffs
The adjustment process of staffs has severely affected the District Hospital of Sindhuli creating crisis on health services as the service of the hospital has been disrupted.
The hospital is operating with 51 beds however there are no health professionals and staffs due to the adjustment process.
Majority of doctors and staffs are transferred due to the adjustment process and hospital is having staff crisis. The OPD services, maternity, X-ray and lab services have been severely affected.
The Ministry of general administration had directed for the transfer of the staffs as per the adjustment process and this has disrupted the health services in the hospital.
There are six posts for expertise doctors along with 64 staffs but at present only one administrative officer is in the hospital.
In this hospital, more than 300 patients are coming for treatment in a daily basis however they are deprived of their right to health due to this adjustment process.
No free medicine
The pharmacy branch of the hospital does not have a free medicine available. The government has announced to provide certain free medicine. The hospital development and management chair Pralhad Pokhrel said that the provincial government has failed to provide budget for free medicine.
