Sentenced to Life Imprisonment for Crime of Rape
The District Court on 27 March sentenced Tulsiram Shah, 44, of Choukune Rural Municipality-2 to 25 years imprisonment (life imprisonment) for raping a 8-year-old girl. The Court found the accused guilty based on the filed complaint, police investigation, medical report, and court inquiry.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint at the district police office on June 11, 2023, alleging that that the girl had been raped on the same day. The police arrested the accused on June 12, 2023.
The health examination of the victim was done on June 13 at the Provincial Hospital.
