Sentenced to Eight Years of Imprisonment in the Charge of Attempted Rape and Cash Theft
The District Court has sentenced Binod B.K, 29, from Madhya Nepal Municipality-4, to eight year of imprisonment, NPR. 300,000 fine and NPR. 7,500 compensation, in the charge of attempting to rape a 61-year-old senior citizen and robbing her cash.
The single bench of Justice Shiva Prasad Khanal rendered the said verdict on 4 April.
Aggrieved party filed a complaint against the accused in the District Police Office on 17 July 2022, stating that the accused B.K, attempted to rape and rob the old age allowance of the victim on 16 July in the community forest, Jaldevi while she was coming back from the ward office receiving her allowance.
Accused was arrested by the police on 17 July.
Medical examination of the victim was conducted at Lamjung hospital the same day.
