Sentenced For Two and Half Years On Charge Of Attempting to Rape
The District Court of Saptari has sentenced Ram Chandra Pramani,50 of Bhutahi VDC-8 for two and half years on August 22 on charge of attempting to rape a 20-year-old woman.
A single bench of District Court judge Binod Kumar Gautam has given a verdict regarding the case.
The victim had lodged a complaint at District Police Office on April 27 against Ram Chandra for attempting to rape and his son Jitendra,20, for raping her.
Police had arrested Ramchandra from his house on same day the complaint was lodged against him however the other accused is at large according to police.
The victim underwent a health check up at Ganasingh Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital on April 28. The accused Ramchandra was remanded in custody on May 23 by a court order.
