Sentence of 10 years of imprisonment for the Crime of Rape
District Court sentenced Deepak Rokka, 25, of Panchkhal Municipality-13, to 10 years of imprisonment, a fine of 2 lakhs, and compensation of NPR. 230,000 in the charge of rape of a 38-year-old woman.
The Bench of District Judge Mohanraj Bhattarai found Rokka guilty of the crime and sentenced him on January 19, 2023
The victim filed a complaint against Rokka, on May 4, 2022, at District Police Office, Kavre, stating that the victim was raped on May 3, 2022. The health examination of the victim was conducted at Dhulikhel Hospital on May 4, 2022.
The district police office registered the case against Rokka in the district court on May 16, 2022. The district court had ordered to detain Rokka under judicial custody on May 16.
