Rural Municipality’s Chairperson Bam Beaten
Laxman Bahadur Bam, the chairperson and resident of Palata Rural Municipality-8 was beaten on 9 May 2020.
He was beaten and injured by CPN Palata Rural Municipality Committee’s chairperson Indra Rokaya, Ward-2’s Chairperson Man Bahadur Bhandari and their team.
He was beaten during the meeting of Consumer Committee formation for Rural Road Planning, informed Kalikot’s Police Chief, DSP Shyam Oliya.
According to him, during the meeting, he was suddenly attacked out of nowhere. In this incident, Bam, his wife, and nephew were slightly injured.
Injured Bam was treated in the local health post.
