RPP Activist Dangi Injured in Protest Dies During Treatment
Thakur Prasad Dangi, a 65-year-old resident of Madhuban Municipality-9, Bardiya died while undergoing treatment in Kathmandu on April 15.
Dangi was injured in the protest held by the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) demanding the dismissal of republicanism and secularism in Kathmandu on April 9, 2024. He was being treated at the Birendra Military Hospital, Chhauni.
The Spokesperson of RPP, Mohan Shrestha said that Dangi who also served as the Chairperson of RPP Madhuwan municipality was already suffering from respiratory problems and the tear gas fired by the police during the protest caused more problems to his health.
