The number of dengue-infected individuals in Nawalparasi West has reached 71, increasing the fear of infection among citizens . Omprakash Panthi, the Chief of the Health Office, stated that the outbreak has particularly impacted the area around the district headquarters, Parasi.

Dr. Muhammad Nurul Hoda, Medical Superintendent at Prithivi Chandra District Hospital, reported that along with dengue, there has also been an increase in other communicable diseases, such as viral fever, the common cold, and seasonal fever. Dr. Hoda stated that although there have been requests for everyone to fill in any water-holding ditches around residential areas and to avoid leaving empty containers in order to prevent the spread of such diseases, the lack of attention to cleanliness could lead to a severe outbreak.

When asked about measures to control dengue, Chief Omprakash Panth stated that they have coordinated with local governments to implement awareness programs and mobilize health workers for both prevention and treatment efforts.
