Rescue of Woman Held Captive in Jungle of Sindhuli
Sunita Yadav, a 35-year-old resident of the Zero Mile area in Siraha, was rescued on the night of October 5 after reportedly being held captive at the Madan Bhandari Highway in Dudhauli Municipality-8, Khorbanjya. Police reported that she was discovered lying on an inner road, ten kilometers north of the Madan Bhandari Highway.
According to SP Govindaraj Kafle from the Sindhuli District Police Office, Sunita had been living in Kirtipur, Kathmandu, with her son and had been out of contact for about three weeks. SP Kafle informed that her hands were bound with a jacket she usually wore, and she was rescued in an unconscious state . She is currently receiving treatment at Dudhauli Municipality Hospital. The police said that the incident is being investigated. He said that Sunita’s parental family was informed after she regained consciousness.
