Rape Case Adjourned in Siraha
The District Court has decided to adjourn the case against 21-year-old Santosh Kumar Raut of Aurahi Rural Municipality-3 on September 15 accused of raping a 16-year-old girl. The decision was made by the bench of District Court Judge Tek Bahadur Karki. The aggrieved party filed a complaint against the accused on December 19 at the District Police Office, Siraha, alleging that he had raped the victim on 17 December 202. The health examination of the girl was done on December 19, 2021 at District Hospital, Siraha.
Although a charge sheet was filed against the accused in the District Court on December 14, 2022 and an arrest warrant with a warrant was issued, the accused has not been arrested so far.
