Rape accused arrested after 16 years
Police have arrested 52 years old Gajkumar Rai of Temkemaiyung Rural Municipality-1 on March 18 after 16 years on charge of raping 19 years old woman.
The accused had raped the woman 16 years ago in 1994 December 14 and complaint against him was lodged on December 19 at District Court. The court had ordered to sentence him for three years and three months and since then he was absconding.
He was arrested after 16 years and was taken into prison according to the police.
