Rape Accused Arrested
Police have arrested Govinda Rokaya (18) and Nam Raj Chadara (19) on 27 June 2020, in accusation of raping an 18-year-old girl.
The victim was raped on 25 June 2020 and they were arrested immediately after the complaint. A case was filed against them on 27 June 2020 and the police have started investigating, informed DSP Shyam Oliya of District Police Office.
The accused side wanted to reconcile the case within the village after which the victim contacted INSEC’s representative through telephone call. After INSEC’s representative coordinated with DSP Oliya, the victim gave an application at the police atation at Tilagufa municipality.
Health checkup of the victim was conducted on 27 June at the Tilagufa health post, informed incharge Basmati Shahi.
