Rape Accused Arrested
Police have arrested Pahal Bahadur Gharti (47) of Beni Municipality-5 on 26 June in an accusation of raping a 14-year-old girl.
The accused had lured the victim for visiting Pokhara and raped her on 11 June 2020, informed the victim’s father to INSEC’s representative.
The victim’s side had filed a complaint on 26 June 2020 and the accused was arrested the same day, informed inspector Dhurba Prasad Sharma.
On 28 June, the court had given 10 days’ duration for investigation, informed District Judge Prakash Koirala.
A health checkup of the victim was conducted on 27 June at Beni Hospital, informed Prakash Subedi, the hospital’s information officer.
