Rape Accused Arrested
Police have arrested Dawa Sherpa, 31, of Sankhuwasabha, Chainpur Municipality-1, Taplejung on October 7 on charges of raping a 17-year-old girl.
The victim’s uncle had complained against the accused at the District Police Office on October 7 accusing him of raping the girl by threatening to kill her.
According to DSP Mahendra Kumar Shrestha of the District Police Office, the accused was arrested based on a complaint lodged by the victim.
The girl’s health examination was conducted at the District Hospital on October 7, 2020.
