Rape Accused Arrested
Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy on September 14 in accusation of raping an 18-year-old girl.
The victim was raped on December 14, 2019, and the complaint was filed on December 28, 2019, at the Area Police Office.
The accused had absconded after the incident and was found by Saptari Police at Dhangadimai Municipality-2 of Siraha, informed Inspector Ram Raja Keshari.
The locals tried reconciling the issue initially which delayed the process of reporting.
According to the accused, while the victim was sitting in the room with him, her family members spread false rumours from outside and lodged a false complaint.
