Rape Accused Arrested
Police has arrested Raj Kumar Khiuju of Suryavinayak Municipality- 1 on 4 March 2020 accusing him of rape on a 21-year-old woman.
Khiuju had taken self-retirement from Nepal Police. The victim had complained of being raped several times by Khuiju from 13 February 2019 till June 2019. Complaint was filed against him on 5 February 2020 at the Metropolitan Police Range, Lalitpur, Jawalakhel.
After the complaint, District Court had released an arrest warrant against former DSP Khiuju on 6 February 2020 and he was arrested on 4 March 2020, said SSP Tek Prasad Rai. Health checkup of the victim was conducted on 5 February and health checkup of the accused was conducted on 4 March.
