Rape Accused Arrested
Police has arrested Saroj B.K (24) of Melamchi Municipality-13 on 19 January’s evening accusing him of rape on a 13-years old. The victim was raped on 4 January. B.K is accused for luring her for marriage and taking her to his home where he raped her.
From the victim’s side, her mother filed a complaint on 8 January at the Area Police Office. The victim’s health checkup was conducted at the Primary Health Centre located at Melamchi on 8 January informed DSP Madhav Prasad Kafle of District Police Office. According to Kafle, the accused had absconded and was found hiding at Melamchi Bazaar.
