Rape Accused Arrested
Police has arrested 23 years old Santosh Rai of Mahakulung Rural Municipality-1 Bung on charge of raping a 19 years old woman on 24 December.
The victim was raped by the accused on 22 February and had reported a complaint on 23 February at the District Police Office.
DSP Narayan Prasad Chimariya of District Police Office said, after the locals informed the police about the return of the absconded accused he was arrested.
The victim’s health checkup under went at the District Hospital of Phalpu on 22 February.
