Caste Based Discrimination Accused Arrested
Police has arrested Ramesh Kuinkel on 24 March 2020 for discriminating Prem Bhujel of Melamchi Municipality-9 during the funeral of Prem’s father. Kuinkel was involved as the priest in the funeral.
Prem was discriminated for being married to a girl of another caste. He was abandoned in the funeral process because of Kiunkel.
Complaint was filed against Kuinkel at the Area Police Office on 20 March. After the death of father Dirgha Bahadur Bhujel, Prem had gone from Kathmandu to Melamchighat on 4 March.
