Pushpa Kamal Dahal Asked for Clarification on the Violation of the Election Code of Conduct
Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) who is a candidate for the post of Member of the House of Representatives from Gorkha District Constituency No. 2 was questioned by the Election Commission to provide clarification on his act of violation of the code of conduct.
The Commission, questioned Dahal to clarify the procession of the entourage along with a musical instruments (Pancheybaja) while registering his candidacy October 9.
Election Code of Conduct, 2022, Section 13(1) (n), prohibits the procession and use of the musical instrument for election-related activities.
Commissioned requires Dahal to provide a statement on why the commission shouldn’t take an action for the violation. Dahal must provide clarification within 7 days of receiving the letter.
