Provincial Hospital has been accused of not admitting a 12-year-old girl of Ganeshman Charnath Municipality-9. The hospital had denied admitting her when they had taken her for treatment on 13 May 2020, informed Rito Mahara Ravidas, the victim’s father.

The victim’s family had taken her to a governmental hospital since they could not afford the private hospital. The family could not afford expensive treatment, therefore the mayor of the municipality had called for an ambulance and also given him Rs 2000 for the child’s treatment.

One of the victim’s neighbours, Binod Mahara, a human right officer informed that the child has a wound in her vagina which can be life-threatening.

Mahara informed that he tried to contact the hospital chief Dr Nagendra Yadav but was not responded.

The hospital’s doctor had denied talking to the chairperson of the hospital Sanjay Singh. Mahara claims it to be a violation of the right to emergency health care.
